Support your local library!

There is nothing more fulfilling than supporting a worthy cause; and believe it or not... your local library is just one of those worthy causes. Whether you live in the Big City or Small Town U.S.A., we believe this to be true.

To know that you can go to your local library to check out  Books, Audio Books, Audio CDs, Audio Cassettes, Vinyl Records, Magazines, DVD or VHS Videos, Video Games, use internet services or use reference materials such as: Encyclopedias, Auto Manuals, How To Books, Stamp Guides, Genealogies, etc... is definitely one of the greatest resources your community could ever have. And best of all... It's FREE!

"One of the greatest democratic freedoms your have is "The First Amendment", which grants the freedom rights to: Religion, Speech, Press, and Assembly."

There are several ways you can help support your local library, here are some suggestions:

Donate a few dollars: This can be done by an individual,  group donations, charities, or even hosting of a dress down day at work where employees pay a buck or two to wear casual clothing, such as jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes, shorts, hat, etc...

Donate your unwanted media: If you have gently used Books, Audio Books, Audio CDs, Audio Cassettes, Vinyl Records, Magazines, DVD or VHS Videos, Video Games, etc... that you're not using anymore or is just sitting around, your local library would be please to accept it, for use for the general public or to use in their annual book sale.

Donate a magazine subscription: If you subscribe to a magazine that you enjoy, and your library doesn't carry it, send a subscription as a gift to your library. Share what you like with others.

Donate your time: Volunteering at your local library is a great way to give back to your community. There are many ways you can volunteer: Book Sale Set-up, Checking in and shelving or cataloguing: Books, Audio Books, Audio CDs, Audio Cassettes, Vinyl Records, Magazines, DVD or VHS Videos, Video Games, etc..., host a reading or story telling, and many other ways.

One of the biggest ways we volunteer, at our library, is by hosting a "Movie On Main Street", supplying and operating the sound system, for the movie. This has been a positive family and wonderful community event which has been widely embraced by all ages. A great night out with the family, under the stars!

Donate your old print cartridges and cell phones: If your library participates in a recycling program for nonprofit organizations, this will help the library earn free computer equipment, cash or points that can be collected for redemption for additional equipment or supplies.

There are many ways you can support your local library. But the best way you can support your library is by walking through their doors. It's your library... start using it!
