Vending Machines -
Simple Conversion
Tips 2 'Maintaining & Servicing'
1. Keep your
CD & DVD Vending Machine well stocked,
operational and clean. A well maintained machine will be used more often
than a neglected one. Service your machines often and they will yield a
larger return.
2. Keep detailed records of your
machine.
3. Change slower moving products with
alternatives, reduce the price or move you the product to one of your better
locations.
4. You set the tone and pace of your
inventory by setting your prices. Low prices... High turnover. High
Prices... Slower turnover.
People are more opt to buy a
CD they have never heard of at a ridiculous price than they would at
full price, just to give it a try. Average sale to one person 10-20
CDs @ $1.00 ea. (Please Note: This is just an
example at the lowest dollar figure.) Keep your prices low and you'll
see how deep peoples pockets really are.
5. Try to place several
CD & DVD Vending Machines in one
location. The more selections of products you put in a location, the more
profit that location will bring in.
6. Try installing and selling several media formats in one
location. For best results, do not mix formats in any one machine. Use one
machine per format. [Example: Do not sell DVDs and
Cassettes in the same
vending machine]
7. A colorful and uniform
vending machine will bring in more
revenue and keep your sales steady.
8. Service your machines yourself
until you're comfortable with the set-up and the route. Later on down the
road you may want to hire someone to assist you. If you already have an
assistant, be sure to check their work regularly. Your image and reputation
is always on the line!
9. Open and spread out your route
radius. By doing this will increase your sales averages.
10. Keep your
CD & DVD Vending Machines out of direct
sunlight. Place the machine where sunlight will never hit it. Sunlight will
cause discoloration and can melt and/or warp your product very quickly.
Unsightly merchandise can deter customer and will kill a potential sale.
11. Add security to your
vending
machines by placing security tags with your contact and business
information. Not only does this protect your machines, it can also lead to
potential requests to have you place other CD & DVD Vending Machines at
other hot locations. Best locations for these tags are on the top corner of
the machines and inside the window. Great advertising tool!
